Once Commissioner Marcou and company are finished dishing out the much-anticipated deets, stick around for some Madden NFL 19 gameplay, from a few of the best competitive players around including Madden 18 Bowl champion Shay “Young Kiv” Kivlen and Madden 18 Challenge champion, Drini “Drini” Gjoka. They’ll jump on the sticks to face some of the EA SPORTS Tiburon Madden staff, and will look to take to school the guys who helped build the game.

Catching Up With Drini

Speaking of Drini, we recently caught up with him to find out what he’s been up to since the finale of the Ultimate League last April.“I’ve been posting [Madden 18] gameplay tips on my YouTube channel, trying to help people get better,” he explained.

Drini said a few months ago that he wanted to grow his brand, and to “not only be known as a competitive player, but to be an all-around full package.” That desire is becoming a reality this summer, as the Madden competitor recently announced his signing with Complexity Gaming, an esports organization that Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones acquired in late 2017.

“A team with that type of caliber trusting me, it’s one of the biggest esports organizations in the world,” Drini said. “Having that much trust in me to compete and perform for them, it means a lot to me.”

He explained that Complexity will help him achieve all the things he said he wanted a few months ago. “They’re going to help me on YouTube, on Twitch. They’re going to tell everybody when I’m live. They’re going to help me try to grow my brand."

So, can we expect to see Drini hitting the sticks against some Dallas Cowboys players in Madden 19? In a video Complexity posted on YouTube, there was talk of Drini hooking up with former Dallas quarterback and now NFL broadcaster Tony Romo, and of course former Cowboys receiver and Hall of Famer Terrell Owens is on the Madden NFL 19 Hall of Fame edition cover in a Cowboys uniform. “Oh man! If TO ever wants to do something Madden-related, I’m down,” Drini said excitedly.

“Hopefully, this is the start of something big for Madden, getting some big organizations and maybe more coming in the future to lift other Madden players up,” Drini noted.

As for Drini’s expectations for the Madden 19 competitive season?

“I’m very excited because I already have a belt from last year, and I’m looking forward to trying to add another one to my case. I’m not trying to just stop at one belt. I’m trying to show why I’m the best player out there.”Well, Young Kiv might have something to say about that. Let the season begin!
